We Aren't The World

Michael Jackson found himself in the files of the East German secret police, the Stasi, because of a concert he gave right next to the Berlin Wall in 1988.
This post was deleted for the following reason: Short news-of-the-weird blurbs aren't generally good mefi post material. -- cortex
The Stasi were known to be paranoid, but I think this goes a bit far.
Not that they were entirely wrong. I believe that West German broadcasts of Dallas, and the opulence of the lifestyle depicted therein were credited with providing the first chink in the old Berlin Wall.

It doesn't seem possible to read the actual file online -- too bad.

If the files were so secret, how was Michael able to find himself?
