Sen. Helms Takes in U2 Concert It seems that Jesse and Bono are pretty good friends. I just didn't imagine that -- I thought Bono liked Strom Thurmond much better. Show's how politically savvy I am. At least Jesse took his grandkids; I'm sure they would have given him hell for a while for leaving them out!

This is old news for anyone who follows U2 closely. Bono met Helms months ago, as a spokesman for Jubilee 2000. He went biblical on him explaining the need for 3rd world debt relief and apparently reduced Helms to tears when he reminded him of his Christian duty.

Sure, provided that his grandkids are in their 30s -- I can't imagine anyone younger mustering more than a shrug about the prospect of seeing U2.

Then again, since he's 79, his grandkids probably are in their 30s.

jjg - I can assure you, most of our readers at U2log.com are a lot younger than 30. U2 fans span generations.

I think a lot of college-age people, at least, listen to U2. Probably younger, too.

Woah... how does that work out? No one is allowed to have kids after the age of 25? (My grandmother's 93. I'm 19.)

I saw about 10,000 of them shrugging away the other day...
