It's like that one summer in the garage

It is nice to see free improv being introduced to a wider audience. I seriously think Derek Bailey would be happy to collaborate on doing one of these (he did a "Drum and Bass" album years back, and he had to know how funny it was).

Man, this stuff shouldn't make me laugh as hard as it does. But by god, it tears me up.

Always thought shredding was just another word for economy picking--moving from a down stroke on the string above to a down stroke on the string below and vice versa.

Since when does shred = sucking? I mean, from Urban Dictionary "1. The art of Technically and rhythmatically hammering out amazing and lightning-fast solos on a guitar.
2. To play so amazingly fast on guitar you almost destroy it's strings." or even "to abuse a skatepark in the good way".
I know I'm getting hung up on the name and you didn't come up with it. But I can't seem to get past that.

OK, amending my above comment now that I see the variety here. It seems like a mix of intentionally bad free improv, intentionally bad prog, and appropriated Portsmouth Symfonia (ie. intentionally bad classical).
Is this where I snark but in a way that is intentionally and amusingly inept?

Yeah, I get that it's meant that way. And it still doesn't sit right with me for whatever reason.
I'm going to shut my mouth now, because nothing good can come out of it now.

Oh, and for the slow-to-understand: These are videos featuring bad guitar playing dubbed over actual concert videos. This was pioneered by StSanders.

Man, now I want to find some old Henry Cow or AMM and ironically put Pussycat Dolls on top of it or something.

That Creed overdub was a MAJOR improvement.

That's nothing. Did you hear that Rammstein opened up the Oktoberfest on Saturday?

nobody really compares to St. Sanders, so there's not much point here.
