He doesn't have a beard in "I Claudius."

filthy light thief: I most certainly did not accidentally leave off the last L. I chose to leave off the last L. Nothing I do is without purpose.

And yet he projects one, somehow. I heart that guy.

Oh god Brian Blessed is just the greatest. Super sense of humour, and he is kind to animals, plus great actor. Why don't they give him a role where he can really show his chops, like in I Claudius?

Is there a video of Brian Blessed reading the phone book? Because I would totally favorite that.

Also, I want his voice screaming out directions on my GPS.

His options are probably limited ever so slightly by the fact that he is a big guy with a beard.

They did. It was called I Claudius.

Not always, dunkadunc. His (admittedly rarely televised) portrayal of Anne Frank, in the BBC production "Diary of Anne Frank" (1989), won critical acclaim, and was one of his earlier successes.

Lately, however, he seems to be typecast, playing characters that he somewhat resembles. It's blatant genotypism, but what can one do?

Would you settle for snooker commentary?
