Can't get enough of the Darwyn Cooke New Frontier aesthetic? Etsy artist "Roganjosh" offers more midcentury modern superhero posters. (Mostly Marvel, though.)
Thanks! My wallet is $43 lighter.

I thought the Storm picture was a little gratuitous, but the text that went along with it was funny. I <3 the Claremont era.

They're very cool. Won't Marvel/Disney legal people unleash the hounds, though, since there's money being made?

If they had any sense they'd buy huge prints for the head office.

Guh. Going to put in an order before he gets a C&D order from DC or Marvel. So gorgeous.

The Madman and Shade ones are far and away my favourites to date -- oddly enough, the non-Marvel entries. Not intentional, but there y'go.

He needs to make one of Iron Man in a hot tub.

For no apparent reason, his direct shop link has a few more posters than the FPP link.

Shade seems to be the post issue 50 incarnation though, which is probably a better match for the aesthetic but reminds me of some distinctly inferior stories.

I'm not sure if this is exactly the same aesthetic, but Trevor Hutchison did some great propaganda style artwork for the covers of the recent IDW All Hail Megatron series

I have a rule about art having to be on the wall, and I'm considering whether I have room for any of these. They're fabulous.

Also: Rogan Gosh.
THANK YOU! I've been trying to identify half-memories of the ads for that trade from 15 years ago, so I could look into it. I remember it seeming terribly interesting, but I never got a copy... and then forgot the name, as well as the author. D'oh!
