Via io9, who link to their Geologic Time Viewer, which I think is pretty neat image. I just don't understand why the heck they call it "an interactive graphic design."

Artsy gobbledygook it may be, but I think it's cool. I live at the bottom of a glacial lake, so I sorta get where they're coming from.

That Geologic Time Viewer must have some sort of grudge against the Holocene.

I'm still not sure what they do but the photographs on their blog are pretty darn good.
