A little Ed Gorey, a little Theodore Kittelson

"Born in Denmark 1978. I write and direct television shows for kids. I have a set of twins and not much time for anything. But when i have time i draw monsterdrawings on post-it notes... it is a little window into a different world, made on office supplies."
Kenn's line art reminds me of both Edward Gorey and Theodor Kittelson.
Common themes are
Gigantic, wide-mouthed monsters
Ghost kids
And these horned fellows
Found via you're not wet until you BLEED (some material there is NWS).

Those are excellent!
The ones with umbrellas particularly remind me of Edward Gorey.

This is an excellent illustration of an immutable point of ethics, so often missed: Whatever their circumstances, those who can draw monsterdrawings, should draw monsterdrawings.

Some Sendak in there, too. And Chas Addams.

I would love to see this guy do a film. Miyazaki meets Tim Burton? The contrast between the cartoonish oversized monsters and the delicate victorian children is a really striking. Creepy but really appealing.

This is fantastic! I just love that he says "monsterdrawings" as one word. It's a good word.

I find the monsterdrawings adorable, but the ghost kiddies really freak me out.

Some Tove Jansson in the mix as well, I'd warrant.
