Alzheimer’s vaccine looks promising?

Alzheimer’s vaccine looks promising? Yes, this is another news item. I could say I posted this to discuss the ethics of research on animals, or humans for that matter. Or whether pharmaceuticals should be leading the way when it comes to developing vaccines and cures. But honestly, I just wanted an excuse to ask if you think Dale Schenk, the head researcher for the Alzheimer's vaccine, looks more like John Denver or Tim Allen.
So, what color are "monochromal antibodies"?
But, to get serious, I vote for Tim Allen.

glad poster working on this issue. To quote from The Man himself:
T"o do well in science," he says, "you have to think about a problem all the time for a number of years. --what better thing to do for the next few years.

I think he looks like Afred E. Neuman.

Wow, five votes, five different people. Perhaps Dr. Schenk can serve as a Rorschach test of the future. Thanks for the suggestion Postroad. I do believe this is as serious an issue as any encountered here on MeFi: Who is Dale Schenk?

anybody? I've seen a lot of Alzheimer's in my family and figgered it was just a matter of time (heck, I could be starting in now) and this article has me tap-dancing with happiness. Finally mefi brings good news....

Same here, Christina.
Even if this isn't the direct answer, it will rule out beta amyloid plaques as the cause. That alone is exciting.
I was looking forward to having something to blame for what will almost certainly be horrible behavior as an old fart. I guess I'll revert back to blaming all the antifreeze I drank that one time as a toddler.
