THEY ARE ON A TEAM. Beginning today and for the next two weeks, Chris Hastings' Dr. McNinja (prev.) and Ethan and Malachai Nicolle's Axe Cop (prev.) will share a single story line, with half of the story appearing on each webcartoonists' site.

This is more awesomeness than I can handle.

I'm not sure they'll be able to top surfing a flying dracula-bot (through re-entry), but I may be pleasantly surprised.

They should join up with Capt. Cockpunch.

Oh man, I have so much Dr McNinja to catch up on. Thank you!

I have read every single Dr. McNinja comic.

I suspect that says something about me, but I'm not sure what.

I really think they should make an Axe Cop movie-- not based on the comics, but an original script by Malachai Nicolle.

I love this more than life itself already. When the storyline is complete I will open every single panel in a separate tab, rip the lcd screen off of my computer and blend it into a potion of distilled awesomeness. I will send this potion to the most awesome being in existence as a gift. Isaiah Mustafa will drink this potion and become a being of pure light, instantly killing everyone within a five-hundred mile radius. The Transformed One will weep tears of pitch and brimstone for those lost, and his many mouths will join in unison to sing their lament, a discordant harmony that will rend the very fabric of time and space.

Anywho. I am looking forward to these comics.

I've had a nerd boner about this since I read about it last week.

If Malachai's idea for the Axe Cop book is anything to go by, the world may not be ready for an Axe Cop film.

We need to have more tryouts!

Oh, sure, crossovers between webcomics seem like fun now. But once the continuity nerds get involved, we're screwed. You think DC Crises are convoluted? Just wait until it's 2019 and we're watching the Roast Beef run a kernel hack on Ping to stop a runaway cyborg Kimiko Ross during the Crisis on Infinite Internets.

On second thought, that would be awesome. Bring on the crossovers!

I am fine with it so long as Kate Beaton's Shetland Pony is involved.

I am still waiting for my NeoTokyo/Natalie Dee crossover, dammit.

ardgedee: "This is more awesomeness than I can handle."

Not me. When I first read about this a couple of weeks ago I had a series of awesommunization shots, so when page 1 went online today I was able to not only read through it but leave a comment, too, with no ill effects.

Except that the server collapsed under the weight of the awesome, but I don't think I did that, and they got it fixed shortly thereafter.

Perspective.

A five-year-old is already cooler than you'll ever be.

There oughta be a convention for 5-7 year old kids so they can show off their artistic works, such as a Lego battleship that combines the powers of the elements, a hovercraft, space weaponry and can also summon Shenron (created by my kid, age 7).

Long live imagination!

I hope that at the end of each strip, Dr. McNinja pulls the reader aside and explains how things like Vampire Wizard Ninja Swordfish-men are possible - with science.
