The Lynchsons is a remixed episode of the Simpsons with strange graphical glitches, almost no discernable plot, rythmic noise collages, mis-cued and distorted music, and an overall odd sensibility.
The uploading user, shaneduarte has uploaded other Simpsons... things.
Including the trance-like "Tungsten Baby Learns to Love" (included as part of the channel link above),
Something approaching an industrial noise track with Chief Wiggum on vocals
A hip-hop beat called 'BARBERHAIR.mov"
And so much more. It looks like a certain Newscorp affiliated broadcast company has already turned its eyes to a few of the videos, so enjoy them while you can.

I'm not sure if it's the uncanny valley effect, but for some reason, I find this incredibly disturbing and unsettling....

I agree but I think it doesn't go quite far enough. Not just the look but everything surrounding. Which is to say not just what it is, but how it is and what it does. People have been making art that was similar in content to this since before the beginning of the 21st Century but you had to seek out and go to video installations to see it. The form and ubiquity of dissemination carries as much meaning, I think, as the actual work. Carrier and signal both.
