Sometimes my faith in the world is restored. Not that a girl playing NCAA Division I football is going to change the world, but at least life's not all bad. Check out her teammates in the photo, they look genuinely psyched.
She may well be on some meds legal or otherwise...note the eyes!

How much attention would she be getting if she weren't a cute blonde?
Just askin', is all...

It only makes sense if she is prepared to shower with the team. Otherwise it is stupid.

I give props to this woman so much more than that other nincompoop. She got her job on her ability - what it should all be about. I heard an interview with her on the radio and they asked her if there was a botched snap would she have a problem with running the ball or throwing a block. She said while it wouldn't be the ideal, "it's a part of the game". She's a football player.

Do they let men play women's sports? This is about the stupidest thing I've ever seen people rally around. If sports are only about ability, then every sport should be co-ed. Period.

Football is always listed as "Football" and not "Men's Football". While it might have to do with the lack of "Women's Football" teams, it still implies that it is a sport where both genders can try to join.

In that case gyc, perhaps some failed basketball players could start infiltrating the netball world. This support is just simply sycophantic dribble. I repeat, this is stupid.

If there were money in netball, AHM, you'd see that.
I'm happy for Ashley, and for Manon Rheaume and Janet Guthrie and whoever else has 'crossed over,' if only because at some point all these little victories mean that someday it genuinely won't be a big deal and we can get on with our lives and cheer for (or against) the teams we tie our sense of well-being to, and it'll all be good again.
