True American Dog

True American Dog is where I go for my silliness these days. It's a single panel photoshop comic about animals. And what animals! There's Kooly the Bear, Eagle, Dog and many more. It's about as silly as it gets, in a good way.
Bad photoshopping? This is great photoshopping as in "It's great that I can now visualize what the fever dreams of a 19th century opium addict looked like." Mermaid horses, shark mountains and blood filled pumpkins are truly the stuff of drug induced hallucinations or perhaps a glimpse into the many angled chaos that lies beyond the thin veil of what we imagine reality to be.

These are incredible. It's like someone tried to teach a computer program about what jokes are, and the program got really excited about the idea and set up a blog.

Best so far:
Prescience.
Cain and Abel.
Horse bullets.
The siren sells it.
Drug Day.
Literally too soon.

I, for one, was very impressed by Eagle's Justin Bieber Halloween costume ...

Well, now that I've seen this, I think I can safely say I've finally finished the internet.

I just noticed that the filenames sometimes function as alternate punchlines/captions or give clues as to where the joke started. Also, often there are other jokes hidden away inside the images (e.g. the computer screen here... also, the dog has a gold medal that says science).

The problem with looking at all of these in rapid succession is that then I saw the title of this post and expected a wacky photoshop photo.
I was, however, not disappointed with the actual photo in the article.

The look on the face of the dog who lost his Halloween store just made my day. I'm crying on a train full of people.
Much thanks for this one

I like ambiguity of Teacher Uses Lion to Teach Kids About Drugs. Because the way that's looking, it might not be an anti-drug message that's about to commence.

Perfect description.
I generally like silly and absurdist humor, but these just aren't making me laugh.

I, on the other hand, haven't stopped laughing for about 2 hours. Every time I stop laughing, I think about this or this and start laughing again. Well, coughing, at this point. Thanks, asthma.

Holy Shit.
The first few struck me a kind of funny, but as I scrolled down the page I started laughing harder and harder. This is like the momentum of funny, like picking up speed as I run down hill, except instead of spraining my ankle I just end up enjoying myself.

These would be lame were it not for the headline-like titles. Instead, I did the same thing Azza did, albeit in the comfort of my own home.
