Students for Suicide Pills? On October 12th, 1984, 1900+ students turned out to vote on a referendum asking that their university's Health Services be allowed to offer cyanide pills in the event of nuclear war.
57% of students said they wanted it.
57% of students said they wanted it.
Well, heck, what's so strange about that? Option A: painful death, Option B: easy death. It's not like they force you to take them. It's like giving out free condoms... um, sorta.

an interesting sidenote for "privileged students" in "crew neck sweaters".It's gotta be the sweaters, man.
Crew neck? Suicide pills.
V-neck? Ambivalent.
Cardigan? Wants a basement fallout shelter.
Cable knit? Has a basement fallout shelter.
Sweater vest? Push the freakin' button!

Luckily, resourceful college students came up with another plan called the "Binge Drinking Liberation". Every year hundreds of students practice drinking close to death in case a nuclear war were to strike.

They just want them so they can slip 'em into their roommates' drink and then get straight A's because of the "stress" involved with having your roommate die.
