Pez!

Pez! Forget politics, today's about gorging on candy. And what other candy is so obsessed over as Pez? (Google search results of "pez") I'm surprised no Pez sites were mentioned in the Magnificent Obsession discussion earlier this month, such as Pez Central. There's even a Dark Side of Pez site. For adults who didn't get good candy for Halloween when they were young, there's the Prozac Pez dispenser collection (be sure to play the Prozac Pez Game, it's like a shooting gallery).
This calls for a trip to the Pez Museum, just 20 minutes south of where I live.

I carried a PEZ dispenser to the summit of Mt. Rainier and handed out "Summit Pez" to everyone.
It just seemed like the thing to do.

And let's not forget Pez: The Card Game (which is reputedly pretty fun).

At a gathering of Seattle webloggers last night at the Elephant and Castle, someone pulled out a Pez dispenser and started passing them around. When you're in an ersatz British pub, "taking the Pez" seems to be the right thing to do.

In those days there were only four flavours: Orange, Lemon(the best for future Margarita-drinkers),Strawberry and CrapMint.
But, at least in Portugal, alas, CrapMint has been gone ever since. ;-(
