[SPOILER] I think the pit you fall into is supposed to be a reference to the Atari E.T. game. There's no Reese's Pieces to get you out, though.

[SPOILER] What's the horseshoe/rope for?

[SPOLIER] Think grappling hook.

A more permanent link.

ultraviolet catastrophe, I was thinking the same thing. This feels like an homage to the E.T. game, from the collecting-parts premise to the separate screens to my total inability to figure out how to get out of that pit.

Wait - I didn't need the grappling hook. There is another way...

Are there a lot of easter eggs? I got my ship together in about 5 minutes, but it seems like there was a lot of stuff I didn't actually use in any way, but had the option of interacting with.

What was the feather for? I rebuilt my saucer and never needed to use the feather.

SPOILER: I used the feather on the sleeping person in the house to get the bottom piece of the UFO away from them

SPOILER: If you got out of the hole, you can do something similar to use the feather.

Hmmm...I just kept ringing the doorbell until he threw the saucer piece at me.

If you got out of the hole, you can do something similar to use the feather.
I don't understand.

If we get this sort of adventure game to commemorate Roswell, I can't wait for Roberta Williams' birthday doodle.

I guess the saucer pieces are randomized? I never had to interact with a sleeping person.

I'm looking forward to September 19th. Click to pick up pistol, confront bears, flee from aliens, and finally back up your wife's more and more outlandish claims.

There are two ways to acquire the second and third pieces. You don't have to fall down the hole or tickle the sleeper.

How many other people made mooing sounds when dealing with the cow?

Speaking as someone who lived in Roswell for a while, there's way less despair than I remember. But not enough grey-skinned freaks.

I guess there is no cow dismemberment...
posted by djrock3k at 8:33 PM on July 8, 2013

No, but you can achieve considerable cow, chicken and (usefully) horse inflation.
