Wow, Banksy sure has taken a turn for the worse. I think he definitely used to have a funny spin with a pop art sensibility. But now it just seems sort of funny and farcical. He was always on the edge of what is art and what is entertaining and now it's basically an Adult Swim short.
There used to be a message, even if it was an easy one.

Yeah. That was definitely unexpected.
The message seemed pretty clear: Those guys with the RPG shouting Allahu Akbar are messing up that kid's chance to be a kid.

I'm not sure if this is a 'hey this is cool' or if he intentionally picked a somewhat contemporary symbol of corporate American and a specific US political party.

the sequel will presumably be the drone attack on bambi and his father, al-Qaeda's no. 2 leader in the forest.

gets a bad review from a middle eastern satirist, though I'd have thought the first comment has the right interpretation.

That's never, ever true of Banksy.

Well he might be making a simple statement about how "we" view these war videos as a sort of entertainment, seeking ever greater moments of violence to the point of absurdity.
