I think it's busted.
Produces a black square on both Chrome 38 and Safari 7.0.6 on Mac OS 10.9, and Firefox 32 on Win7.
Maybe it's just overloaded?

It works on Firefox 33.0 and Chrome 38 on Linux. You have to drag the photos from a file browser.
It is actually pretty neat I think - the shapes are not random (or at least, not random for the same photo), and the algorithm for where where each shape is placed is not obvious, but does match the photo to some degree. (Of course tested with images of cats caught mid-sneeze)

Ah OK, Baron Humbert von Gikkingen's advice is good: you need to drag the photos from a file browser (I had been dragging images from other websites).
Nice idea, but I would like more variation.

Firefox, Windows 7: Mostly does OK – just one black square so far. Some of the results are pretty cool.
The one failure so far was a small image with transparency, and I can see why it might not like transparency.

I was surprised at how it interpreted colour. One photo I used was mainly red and green. The result was mainly greys, blacks and beiges.

I get really tired of the Dave Hickey inspired art doesn't involve craft thing.

This was fun but I sort of wish the end result was a bit more exciting. I tried several photos and I wish there had been more variations in the results.
But maybe that's just me expecting something a bit different.
