Years ago I befriended an artist with a keen mind and a gentle soul. I supported his interest in basic electronics (though I can't say I taught him, he's done a lot more than I've ever been able to). On my birthday one year, I didn't have a party planned so I ended up at someone else's birthday, and I encouraged this artist to drop acid with me, and to listen to Merzbow together as we peaked. It was an important event for both of us.

Now he makes things like this. I kind of wish I were making things like that, but I'm proud to at least have had some influence that led to it. Another video he did, collaborating with members of the legendary Smegma.

These were cool. Thanks for sharing!

The music from Ilya Beshevli was great; I spent time this morning listening to the rest of the album.

I wonder what software they used to do the imaging in "as-phyx-i-a". They put up screenshots of the program on their website for the project but I have no clue what it might be. I watched their "behind the scenes" video, but I would be curious to see a more detailed breakdown of the whole process.

It looks like they used Brekel Pro Pointcloud for the motion capture, just based on the way the UI looks. Not sure about the 3D app used for post.
