Merry Christmas from six letters

Happy Christmas to all MeFites who observe the holiday! May your day be filled with the love of family and good friends, and the joy and privilege of having people in your life who want you to be happy and whose happiness brings you joy! There's no more authentic form of happiness in my opinion than the happiness that comes from expressing genuine love, so please, love it up this year as an antidote to all the hate!

Dennis Hwang, the Googler who created most of the original doodles (and the doodle tradition), still works for Google. Or rather for Niantic, the Pokemon Go company. He did a great in depth article on Pokemon Go visual design recently.

Looking at the reach on those doodles, I feel like someone should let Google know that they've got Africa a little upside down. Southern Africa certainly falls under warm climates this time of year.

Hm, it's the same doodle for both cold and warm climates.
Also, Vietnam should certainly be a part of "warm climates" pretty much year round.
