Camp Halen

I found this yesterday, and I love it. Some mashup artists (like DJ Cummerbund, whom I also adore) get really fancy and extravagant with their creations, but Bill McClintock keeps it simple: he finds two or three songs of disparate genres that work well together, and he assembles them into a new, entertaining whole. Here are a few more of his creations that I really like:
James Hetfield and the News - "Hip to Be the Sandman"
Buffalo MC - "Stop and Bust a Move"
Spiceknot - "If You Wanna Breathe My Sulfur"

Considering the section playing with Huey, I'd like to see "Tower of News."

After hearing VankHalen, I feel the need to burn my speakers and never listen to music again. Cheez'nRice, that is just ******* awful.

But you don't really care for music, do you.

I feel a desperate need to ruin some karaoke nights.

I like that the fiddle solo was in time instead of Jump where the beat just drops away and Van Halen just goes crazy for a few seconds.

We have both kinds, Country and Butt Rock.
This was genius. It really was a country song all along.

I think Darryl Hall and John Oates would be so happy to learn that 'My World Is Empty Without You, Maneater' exists.

I remember David doing almost exactly this with a jug band, must be 10 or 20 years ago?

ditto Meatbomb. Not sure, but the actual David doing Jump sorta sounding like this was way familiar. Maybe I've just seen/heard this sometime long ago. Or just some other Jump mashup is memory conflicting.

Here's Roth doing 'Jump' with a country string band on Leno in 2006 (he also went on The View).
He was promoting Strummin' with the Devil: the Southern Side of Van Halen, an album whose existence I became aware of today.

I am more than certain that this tickles David Lee Roth to no end.

Diamond Dave always was ahead of curve. Is this more, less, or equally ridiculous?
