In preparation for the physical release of Cuphead in Japan, Studio MDHR has released a video of legendary illustrator Yoshitaka Amano creating the limited edition artwork for the first run of the game's soundtrack. (SLYT)
The video shows Amano doing several studies to understand the Cuphead characters, as well as his final piece with the game's three protagonists and the Devil done in Amano's famous style.

Sometimes, I do not know how to react to stuff I find. This is one such case. I mean, Cuphead is already at the periphery of what I know. I liked learning about such a game. And then there is Yoshitaka Amano. I never knew about him. I watched this video, and what he produced was.... I don't know how to react to it. Is it good? Is it bad?
Well it is widening the horizon of what I know.

Somehow it feels wrong that Amano is just a regular looking person. Some part part of me needs him to be an ethereal being, afloat in a mass of luxurious textured cloth, painting at a leisurely arms-length with a brush that is also a filigreed sword.
