I love it. Trips to the Stevenage cinema had a similar advert, where lots of shots of feet were showing walking across the screen. “They’re going,” the narrator said, “are you going?”. The advert was for a shoe shop.

Actual intermission stuff, or a made up parody, this was worth watching. May cause wind.

The description says it was made for the 10th anniversary for Look Around You (possible cw for agéd comedy).

If you enjoy that kind of play with pronunciation of Britglish, you may enjoy the Welsh Twins, who are not the same people and are also not Welsh but do like playing with words.

I know Peter Serafinowicz from any number of things, of course, but lately really as the voice of Death in the newer Discworld audiobooks, which made this all the more surreal for me.

Serafinowicz is a god damn genius. Not quite right in the head, perhaps, but a genius nevertheless.

The voice of Death, and also The Second The Live Action The Tick! Spoon!

Our friends at EXPTV.org will appreciate this.

All in all, it's no less weird than the 100% real Dr. Pepper musical theater concession promos.

I really like Peter Serafinowicz and I really like "Look Around You" but for some reason I never put them together until just now. Thank you, OP!

He is a god damn genius. And I don't think any real geniuses are quite right in the head.

His role as the shipping forecast announcer with the sexy voice in Black Books is still one of my favorite bits from that show. I sometimes randomly turn to my wife and do a terrible impression of him saying "Fran? Is that you, Fran?" to make her giggle.

That Dr. Pepper ad is nothing compared to this Pepsi one.

Both that Dr. Pepper and Pepsi add have been spotted frequently in between-show intermission reels at MST Club. I knew what they were before even opening the links.

I have another Peter Serafinowicz link to share, I'm just waiting for the FPP timeout to expire....

WEL-COME TO DAAA-LEK RE-LAX-A-TION FOR HU-MANS.

JHarris, if you have more P-$ERS links to share why not share them here? The thread has the name "Peter Serafinowicz" right there.

Very pleased to see this Look Around You snippet, which somehow I'd missed despite obsessive Look-Around-You collecting tendencies. I assume the genius Robert Popper was involved in the writing as well (known also for producing The Inbetweeners and Friday Night Dinner). I don't think the comedy of Look Around You has agéd badly at all—it was always a spoof of agéd television, after all.

Great to see the appearance of the exceedingly scary special picture in this clip. That always makes my Gen Z son laugh like a drain—a useful one to drop into a WhatsApp chat.

Also, voice of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace. Which - well, it doesn't ruin the film exactly, on account of how it comes pre-ruined, but it is very hard to ignore once you know it's him.

Here he is explaining the whole thing to Richard Herring: Peter Serafinowicz perfectly captures the disappointment of the Phantom Menace (YouTube, 20m3s)
posted by flabdablet at 7:06 AM on June 27

I'm guessing you meant this Richard Herring interview, flabdablet—you've linked to a Never Mind the Buzzcocks clip where PS does the Darth Maul voice for Alex James and Noel Fielding. Not that that's a bad thing!

I was pleased to see PS doing his finest Liverpudlian in Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen series on Netflix when I started watching it the other day. If you haven't see his Beatles impressions, you gotta—along with the rest of the Peter Serafinowicz Show. Oh man, don't get me started on Brian Butterfield!

Genius. Definitely.

I am now bereft to see that PS was performing up the road from me on Sunday night as Brian Butterfield and I missed it.

Have to add A Full Day In The Life. Listen to the whole song (recommended) or jump to 2:16 for the Serafinowicz experience.
