He teamed up with Mark Young in 2014 for the podcast "Blunt Force Truth" and soon became a full supporter of Donald Trump while arguing minorities don't need civil rights and causing a firestorm by tweeting an antisemitic comment linking Soviet Communists to Judaism.

"President Obama's popularity is a fantasy only held by him and his dwindling legion of juice-box-drinking, anxiety-dog-hugging, safe-space-hiding snowflakes," he said.

Wow, what a class act.

Well, being a game show host seems like about the best thing you could do with your life, and I'm sorry this man was handed such a gift and turned out to be a total asshole. What a shame! Meanwhile, if anyone needs a host for Love Connection: The Next Generation,

Heyyy, ladies in the place, I'm callin' out to ya!
There never was a city kid truer and bluer
(There's more to me than you'll ever know)
And I got more hits than Sadaharu Oh

Date women on TV with the help of Chuck Woolery
(Words flowin' out just like the Grand Canyon)
And I'm always out lookin' for a female companion

The clip doesn't appear to be available, but he was interviewed 35 years ago for Michael Moore's "Roger & Me" (due to him being a spokesman for GM). He defended the company as best he could, and then chose to close the interview with an antisemitic joke.

AlonzoMosleyFBI, that was Bob Eubanks in Roger & Me. I don't remember the joke, but I do remember being unpleasantly surprised that Eubanks told it.

Before he became a game show host Woolery had a whole other life as a musician. His psychedelic pop band The Avante-Garde had a top 40 hit with Naturally Stoned, and he later became a country singer and he co-wrote "The Joys of Being a Woman" on Tammy Wynette's 1971 album We Sure Can Love Each Other. I can't say I was really a fan of Love Connection but as a Gen-X kid without cable it was one of those shows you just ended up watching a thousand episodes of while you did your homework and stuff. I knew he'd become a MAGA shithead but I'll still give him a . out of nostalgia.

Replaced by Pat Sajak and was Mr. Dingle in the New Zoo Revue. Somehow both apt.

How did he get from Naturally Stoned to unfavourably comparing people to snowflakes? Life is strange.

Anyway, I enjoyed him on Love Connection so uh, well I guess that's all I have to say.

thanks Ursula, Moore can be aggressive, he's right in his stance then,
UFanks tried to backtrack his comment referring to a joke his wife told him, just.....fuc...Flint people love or really dislike Mike but would back him in a bar brawl. Mike makes a higher point about how he knew ubanks name but not the about the site down strike in grade school... that's right Chuck, we're talking about someone else in your obituary.

He was a perfectly passable game show host, but when Sajak does your job better than you, that's kind of telling. (Not that Sajak is a peach of a human being either.)

Game shows are weird, man. Hosting is an odd skill, so people who aren't funny enough to be funny (or good enough an actor to get work, or good looking enough to be someone's pool boy, or whatever) sometimes give it a shot. So, um, good on him for making that work.

Ahh fond memories of Tom Scharpling's long-running feud with Woolery, which may even have predated Woolery's official right-wing turn. After some time, Scharpling called him "a wad" and apparently that hit too hard, too close to home, and Woolery blocked him.

What a wad.
