Wikipedia's Bad Jokes And Other Deleted Nonsense

Wikipedia's Bad Jokes and Other Deleted Nonsense category is a veritable goldmine of...well. I had never heard of a Mushroom Tattoo, for example, nor did I know about the tragic exploitation of the Gnomish Nation or the truth about the American Revolution. Towards the end, Ronald Reagan's condition was even sadder than I thought. And why shouldn't we believe in Atlantis, or for that matter the bearatross or Alphonse W. Turkeyman?
Recently, in Victoria BC, the toilets seats had all gone missing out of the police station. True story. They tried to start an investigation, but they had nothing to go on.

I, Gadmar the All-Seeing, have come back from the grave to say that Bush sucks. And I still like jellybeans.

I especially liked the section on Goatsefication. It's the sister phenomenon of gentrification, only it involves assholes moving into the neighbourhood.

"There is a rock band called the Presidents of the United States of America; however, no person has both held the office of President of the U.S. and played in that band."

Sigh. BJAODN is so essential to my enjoyment of Wikipedia that I never really thought that there were people out there who hadn't heard of it. I should make an FPP that links to Wikipedia's (non-encyclopedic) sage advice, like Don't stuff beans up your nose and There is a cabal if you want there to be one.

I never remembered to put these edits to Homo Floresiensis on there. Subtle.

That bearatross is the dumbest and yet funniest thing I've seen in days. Thanks. This week sucked up to now.
