Food with Eyes

Food with Eyes. Found when I searched for the phrase after seeing some of Lileks' cast off mascots. Oddly, in this list of creepiest fast food mascots, only one or possibly two are food with eyes.
Not enough? Don't just look at food with eyes; don't just eat it; be food with eyes.
Previously.
Looks good! Can't wait to get stuck into all that.

rtha: Quiznos did Flash-like ads on TV with that thing back when Badger-Badger-Badger and things like that were it on the internet. So so bad.

Mr. Coffee Nerves. No wonder I'm driving them away. That's awesome.

Ah, OK! I knew I'd seen that rat thing somewhere before. And I'm out of the dating game so I knew it wasn't at a bar.

Now I'm even less hungry. More frightened, though!

I always thought it was hilarious when KFC redid the Colonel Sanders logo to the version being used now. Moral of the story: you can take anything and rotate it 15 degrees counterclockwise, and suddenly it's "cool". Try tilting your computer monitor 10 degrees... doesn't MeFi look cooler?

crapmatic: i've been using the Greasemonkey "tilt mefi 15 degrees" script for years.
it makes the site feel edgier, a bit like music video tv shows, with their handheld cameras zooming in & out & tilting all over the place to create the impression that everybody in the production crew is permanently drunk.

Oh man, I used to be SO terrified of those Quiznos things. I refused to eat there for the longest time because of them.

I thought I was taking crazy pills when those Quiznos commercials would come on because I thought they were scary and everyone else loved them.

Exactly!
To be fair, I was high for pretty much that entire era of Quiznos history.

If you are a friend of Mr. Coffee Nerves, you will never need make the acquaintance of The Laxies. How food with eyes fits into that scenario... well, now, I don't want to get too graphic, but I'm certain it would make the Spong Monkeys (the Quiznos beasts) look positively cuddly and endearing.

Thanks for pointing out Tuffy the strong laxative underpants gnome, louche. I missed that one.
Boy, do we need avatars at MeFi. :-)

More on-topic: I had no idea that Quiznos had a mascot, let alone that it's some sort of rat-thing. Eeek. Now I'm totally not hungry.
