While we're on the subject of weird music, how about the Philharmica Orchestra doing "Powerhouse"?
(If the music sounds familiar, it's because Carl Stalling used it several times in the classic Warner Brothers cartoons.)

Yeah, not quite as good as the Radiohead one.

MetaFilter: Keep in mind the scanner and floppy drive are not musical instruments.

10/10 for good hacking, but minus several million for good musicality.
Seriously. You've heard the song a kajillion times. How hard is it to get the rhythm right?

Damn, Chocolate Pickle's link is FPP worthy by itself, I reckon. Powerhouse is one of those songs I've heard a thousand times but only relatively recently discovered had a live outside of Warner Bros. cartoons and Cartoon Network promos. (A moment of silence, please, for the memory of Cartoon Network when they were cool.)

JHarris: If you like Powerhouse you might also want to check out more of Raymond Scott's music - such as the stuff on this CD. It is kind of appropriate toremember Scott in a thread like this since he was also somebody making music with some seriously unwieldy, custom build technology.

Wow, I'm amazed. By the incredible video, but also by the lack of love from metafilter. I don't see anything not to love.

My god. That Phish video is frustrating. All that effort and such horrible vocals across the board. I guess I see how others are seeing the FPP video. Diff'rent Strokes.
